We're GRRLS CLUB, a women-led music production education platform and creative collective. We teach aspiring women and non-gender conforming producers to produce their own music in Logic Pro and Ableton. We're seeking funding to improve, scale and develop our production courses into a structured year of learning, open to aspiring producers across the UK.

Who we are
Teaching aspiring women and non-gender conforming producers to produce their own music.
GRRLS CLUB is a women-led music education platform and creative collective. Since 2024 we have run production courses, workshops and songwriting camps that turn intimidation into confidence and ideas into finished tracks.
Many of the people we teach already sing or write songs, or have had Logic sitting on their laptop for years. What they are missing is the technical know-how, and a room where learning it feels possible.
- 218 course enrolments
- 9 courses · 8 workshops
- Songwriting camps
- 500+ member community
Our three goals
- Get more women and non-gender conforming people into production.Making the tools and the skills feel possible, from the very first session.
- Get them in rooms together to create.Camps, workshops and a community where people make music side by side.
- Help them get paid.Finding and opening up opportunities that turn skills into paid work.
Why this matters
Women are severely underrepresented in technical music roles such as producing and engineering. Talent is not the problem. Access to technical skills, and the confidence to use them, is.
Software can feel intimidating, even to people who have owned it for years. We build rooms where it does not.
Women credited as producers
across 1,100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end charts, 2012 to 2025. That is 27 men for every woman.
Grey: men. Pink: women.
Never above 7% in any year
Women as a share of credited producers, by year
The further from the mic, the fewer the women
Women's share of credits on the 2025 chart
- Artists36.1%
- Songwriters14.5%
- Producers4.4%
Women of colour are almost invisible
Just 25 of 2,451 producing credits went to women of colour.

In their words
Straight from our learners' messages and feedback forms.
I had Logic sitting on my laptop for a few years and never had the courage to learn until this course was open. It's been so great having a community of hardworking and talented girliesss and a great teacher xx
i've had logic for ages and let the technical aspects of it intimidate me so much, but thank you for being so patient and understanding in your explanations!! i'm so excited to be able to translate my vision into reality myself
I started with zero knowledge of music production as i had just installed Logic literally a few days before the course began. By the end, I can say I'm able to produce music and feel much more comfortable using Logic.
I've learned so much and it's made me so much more confident in producing, and it's been so cool listening to everyone's creations! 10/10, thank you!!
super safe space to experiment, share, ask anything, zero judgement … the group you've built is incredibly supportive, collaborative, and genuinely passionate
I was missing alot of the fundamental basics after using logic for years and now i know them, i have a strong foundation to carry on building on yay! It was like a house without a floor lol

How we will use this grant
February 2027 to January 2028
Our courses already work. People sign up, and many come back for more. Course fees cover the cost of running them, but they leave us no surplus income or time to invest in marketing or in developing the courses themselves. Right now, most of our learners find us through our own Instagram.
This grant is about improving and scaling what we already do, so we can reach aspiring producers who have never heard of us and give them a clear path from their first session onwards.
What the investment unlocks
Reaching new producers
Paid campaigns and dedicated content to reach women and non-gender conforming people who want to produce, beyond our existing community.
Developing the courses
A clear pathway from first session to intermediate production, shaped by learner feedback.
Investing in educators
Paid development and training time for our teaching team.
The courses
Four courses, each running twice across the year.
- 8six week courses, February to December 2027. Each of our four courses runs twice
- 160places, 20 per course
- 16free places, two on every course, for people facing financial or other barriers
